OpenWebUI has been a great solution for my small company. One of its standout features is the extensive user access control, which makes it easy to manage different team members' permissions and thus it simplifies and reduces costs as everything boils down to one bill for the ChatGPT API (depends on usage, not fixed monthly fee per employee) while still allowing us to run our own local Ollama instance and use their models available on our GPU servers. This setup gives us the flexibility of using both cloud and local models, making it an efficient and cost-effective tool for our operations.

not bad at all! I actually like that it can connect to different models, giving more options to choose from. Plus, the fact that some of these models can be hosted locally and used through the settings is a huge advantage, it offers me a lot more flexibility compared to proprietary platforms.

I tried OpenWebUI because of its focus on privacy, but honestly, I still prefer the original ChatGPT. While OpenWebUI gives more control over data, it feels clunky and lacks the smoothness and smart responses I get from ChatGPT. Plus, the extra cost for privacy features seems way too high. If you're just looking for a reliable AI, ChatGPT is still the better, more affordable option. Still I give 3 stars for the open source community effort (otherwise 2).
